Easington Colliery is a former mining town situated on the coast of northern England in County Durham. Our primary school was relocated to a new building in June 1998. We took three years to plan the new school, drawing upon the ideas and aspirations of children and families as well as staff, governors and community. There are 450 children on roll aged between 4 and 11 years. We believe that children learn well when they are happy, secure and challenged positively. Good relationships are a priority. We have many partnerships operating in the school; Seaham & Easington Excellence Cluster, Primary Strategy Learning Networks, Creative Partnerships, Place to Be, Initial Teacher Training Partnership with Durham University and the School Sports Co-ordinator programme.
